Very special soup bowls made of Rosenthal Bavaria porcelain, series Studio Line Composition Jardinet from the 1960s, designed by Tapio Wirkkala. Tapio Wirkkala (1915-1985) was a multi-talented design genius, widely regarded as a leading figure of modern Finnish industrial art. Wirkkala's broad portfolio ranged from glass, furniture and product design to sculpture, urban planning, art, graphic design and even designing banknotes for the Finnish government.
He designed porcelain artworks for Rosenthal between 1956 and 1985. They were characterized by mostly organic forms, single-colored surfaces and a modern expression:
