Very special plates made of Rosenthal Bavaria porcelain, Studio Line Composition Jardinet series from the 1960s, designed by Tapio Wirkkala. Tapio Wirkkala (1915-1985) was a multi-talented design genius, widely regarded as a leading figure of modern Finnish industrial art. Wirkkala's broad portfolio extends from glass, furniture and product design to sculpture, urban planning, art, graphic design and even banknote making for the Finnish government.
He designed porcelain works of art for Rosenthal between 1956–1985. They were characterized by mostly organic shapes, single-colored surfaces and a modern expression:
