Showpiece for any room: hand-painted vase by Hertel Jacob Bavaria with decoration by Manufaktur Worms Handmalerei from the 1970s.
The factory was founded in 1906 and after an initially difficult start was renamed Porzellanfabrik Hertel, Jacob & Co. GmbH and restructured in 1913, the factory became famous. The craftsmanship was comparable to Rosenthal from Bavaria. In 1968 the factory was taken over by the company Melitta. After that, the decoration was often outsourced to Manufaktur Worms Handmalerei for the more luxurious pieces. Worms specialized in hand-painted decoration and did this for various porcelain factories in the Selb and Arzberg region. Due to internal problems and Melitta decided to concentrate on the core business, namely the production of coffee filters. Finally, the former porcelain factory Hertel Jacob ceased to exist in 1979
