Vintage Villeroy & Boch porcelain lidded box from the Alt Mettlach series. This series was produced from the 1950s and is characterized by a white background with large floral motifs. The flowers, leaves and stems on the tableware are painted in a beautiful, colorful color mix to evoke an image of fragrant, lavishly blooming flowers.
Other similar series are Alt Amsterdam and Alt Strassburg
